Socrates claims in the Apology that “no one could ever knowingly and willingly do evil, that evil is
a result of ignorance and deficient self- knowledge.” Explain how his Theory of Forms could provide
support for this principle that no one knowingly does evil. Could we determine if he is right? Why or
why not? Do you agree with him? Or do you think that sometimes people do evil even though they
know what is really good in life? If so, what are your reasons to think this?
