CSUN The Pandemic Was Best Left to Individual States to Navigate Question

Question Description

Over the course of the pandemic, the Federal government has largely left matters to individual states. This includes both policy matters (that is, testing regiment or guidelines regarding safety) and economic ones (there has been limited distribution of Federal money to state and local governments) Do you think that the pandemic was best left to individual states to navigate? Or would a different federal approach have been more appropriate? Why?

One of the biggest fights during the Founding period was over how much power the central, national government should have, versus how much the states should have; this was the most important differences between the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution. Do you think it’s better for state to have more power, or for the federal government to have more power? Why?
